This elk is BIGGGGG! New Montana record elk  Ladies and
gentleman........Just wanted to pass this on......apparently  this was
arrowed by a kid from Livingston a short time ago.  It was rumored that he
shot it with a rifle but the Fish & Game Wardens investigated both the
carcass and the kill sight and reported it was in fact taken with a bow.
It was measured and though unofficial it scored 410 gross and 385 net.
Nontypical score is 412-415 net!!  Main beams are 52" with 47" of inside
spread.  Thirds are 31" and the fourths go 29 inches! (longer than a lot of
peoples ARMS !).  NO circumference was UNDER 8 inches !! That's a lot of elk!

Bob Ogle and his sons Bruce and Opie harvested this nice 4X5 and two 3X3's, from 44A.  They were hunting  out of the AZOD camp with AZOD Hunting Editor Louis Urquides.
